Information for Betsy Brown Memorial
We lost our dear Betsy November 1st, 2024, and it is now time to gather and give her a proper remembrance and embrace our time together with this wonderful soul! There are songs to be sung and stories to be told! I hope you will all join to celebrate this amazing woman. You can read her obituary here.

Date: February 8th, 2025
Where: Sunset Hill Community Hall in Ballard, 3003 NW 66th St, Seattle, WA 98117
Time: 3pm to 8pm
- Schedule:
- 2:00 pm Doors open. Potluck dish drop-off.
- 3:00 Welcome and Memorial Ceremony
- 4:30ish Potluck and visiting
- 5:30ish Music and Square Dance and Jamming
- 7:30 Close it down and clean it up.
Potluck: Feel free to bring something to share but no obligation. Ingredient labels are a help as are labeling dishes and serving utensils so you get them back. Plates and utensils will be provided. Some drinks will be provided but you may want to bring your own. Alcohol will not be served but is not banned.
Parking: The hall is in a residential neighborhood so be considerate of the neighbors when parking. We have permission to use the Licton Springs K-8 School parking lot at 3015 NW 68th St. which should help a bit but it is not a big lot. Please carpool if possible.

Fiddle Tunes Celebration: With any luck, we will also be celebrating Betsy’s life at the Festival of American Fiddle Tunes in Port Townsend WA in July. I’ll try to include details for that as they develop but that is still a ways away.
