Mountmaking Focus Studio 3511 Interlake Ave N, Seattle, WA, United StatesThis will be another in our series of exhibit scenario based workshops. For each of these workshops, we tailor the “exhibit” to the collections interests of the participants. This gives the opportunity for persons from diverse museum types to work on appropriate materials, as well as for more or less experienced people to work with objects that match their skill level. We welcome more advanced professionals to participate to explore more difficult mountmaking challenges. This five-day workshop will present the theoretical concepts and practical techniques of mountmaking for museum objects, set within a framework of an actual exhibit display. A

The past year has given many of us a taste of a world that is a little less crowded and moving a little slower. With that in mind, we’re limiting the class size to three participants to give more space in the workshop, and to provide more individualized attention then there was in the previous six-person classes. In the interest of safety while working together, fully matured COVID vaccination is required for attendance.
