2023 Workshop Schedule: Come and get it!

Mount shop practice

I’m getting the ball rolling early this year with a workshop schedule that should give everyone time to plan. I’m really excited to have one more year in my shop as this beautiful old building will soon give way to a new huge building project and the workshops will have to change venue or possibly end. I’ve got six Mountmaking for Exhibits Workshops running from February through September and if there is enough interest, I may try to add a few more. With four people per workshop, it’s a great way to get your head and hands into some real mountmaking in a small group setting.

I’ve also got other workshop ideas that I’ve been wanting to explore and if I can keep up the energy, I may try to bring in some talented friends for special sessions on mannequins, magnets, and other special mounts. I’m also looking at starting a once-a-week evening class that can be easier to attend for those in the Seattle region. Please let me know if these may be of interest to help move these workshops forward.

Finally, for those that were subscribed to my blog posts, the wonderful folks at MailChimp decided I hadn’t posted enough during the pandemic and deleted the entire mailing list. I’m working to make a new system to rebuild the list, but it’s probably going to take a little while as I’d much rather be building mounts than working on the website. I’ll keep you posted and hope you’ll sign back up.

Thanks, and I hope to see you in a workshop!

Jamie

    Hi Jamie!
Super interested if you do something in the Seattle area. Looking forward to hearing more.

      Hi Lissa,
Pardon me if I didn’t make it clear in the post, these workshops are all at my Mountmaking Focus Studio in the Wallingford Neighborhood in Seattle. Let’s talk and we can see if one of them may work for you. Thanks! Jamie
